Everything started out as a yoke in the vip area of awakenings festival in 2002: Terry Toner & Herr Arter, old high school freinds, deejayed together for the first time. Things started to go fast for these youngsters when they came in to contact with the Amsterdam based ElectroNation and became their resident DJ's, first in the parties at the Akhnathon and Winston, later in the hip club Amuse.

2003 Was an important year through their new residencies at the Melkweg and Tivoli , Arter & Toner were really starting to get a regular crowd. By touring the Dutch clubscene extensively and giving an act de présènce at big summer festivals (like Dance Valley and Awakenings a.o.), Terry Toner and Herr Arter proved that they where here to stay. The end of the year also brought their first international tour to London and Antwerp. Highlight of the year was for Terry to reach the finals of "Grote Prijs van NL" with his live act and to release on United and Boudisque recordings. For Herr Arter the highlight of the year was definetly to play solo at the Awakenings warehouse party on new years eve.

In 2004 Arter & Toner continued their old residencies and got new ones in club Stalker, More and Off Corso. They continued to tour Dutch clubs and attended the big festivals again. Together with Laidback Luke and Don Diablo they founded the first DJ Boyband in the world and performed with 4 mixers and loads of decks and cd players. Big highlight of the year was playing in Turnmills London together with Fatboy Slim and hosting their own room at Pay&Go in Brussels.

Future plans: 2005! Terry Toner & Herr Arter will set up their new label: "Argh!: Electronic music", continue their residencies, keep touring in Holland as well as abroad in London (march) and Austria (april).

The key word to describe their intens dj sets is: Electrifying. Working as a team they always manage to tear apart dancefloors and rock the crowd into an electronic frenzy. To create this ambiance their style cannot be reduced to the electro they played in 2001 nowadays it evolved into their own style combining minimal, jacked acid and electro influenced house. Labels representing this style are Get Physical Music, Pokerflat and Playhouse.
