Motio & E-Contact
Remco & Eelco make up the dynamic force behind Motio & E-Contact. Establishing their careers as dj's separately in the 90's, they claimed various titles including E-Contact winning National rookie of the year in 1998(NL) & Motio winning Rookie of the year in Northern Holland in 2001.
After meeting in 1998, Motio & E-Contact fused their efforts and the start of a close alliance began, increasing their performances throughout Holland to include gigs in Belgium, Italy and Spain. This together with Eelco concentrating on his Audio Engineering studies with the SAE, proved the coming years to be both demanding & productive.
In competing at the "Grote Prijs van Nederland" in 2004, their performance won them the semi-finale, taking them to Paradiso, Amsterdam where they competed in the grand-final. Out of the initial 300 competitors, they took out second place. With inspiration taking over, Motio & E-Contact pursued their urge for production and a studio was realised. With greater vision and their full focus on production, the development of their own sound & style went full-stream, live performances became a normal event, and 5 years later they nothing has slowed down.
Recently, their performance at Phonocult@ the Beach brought them in contact with Phonocult Records and secured them their first label deal. As a result their first releases are due to come out soon.
Performances include: Club 11 - Amsterdam, Paradiso - Amsterdam, Mecca Beachclub - Scheveningen, Dial T for Techno, Studio 80 - Radio Tosti, Doornroosje - Planet Rose, Technotica & Trinity in Technoland - Simplon, Asena - Utrecht, Instant Techno - Groningen, ORKZ- Groningen and more.
