Boris Werner & Carlos Valdes

Boris started going out in '97 Boris Werner was quickly taken by the house virus. Not long after that he decided to buy some turntables and irritate his neighbours. One and a half years later he played his first gig at the Catacombs in Amsterdam. It didn't took long before he got to play at several other clubs in Amsterdam. In 2002 he became resident at the MONO parties held at the 020, Mazzo and later on the Milky way. Also at Traffic he's a welknown face. His music varies from minimal sounds to more uplifting house, electro and techno and is wellknown for his enthousiasm behind the decks. Nowadays he's also busy with producing music, also together with Laurens Lauhaus. Their first release will come out on Remote Area in january 2007. CARLOS VALDES
Born and raised in the Netherlands (14-05-1982) with Chilean parents, Carlos Valdés was interested in music at a very young age. His parents encouraged him at the age of 6 to develop his musical skills and he started to play the piano and sing.

From the age of 17, he started going out at nights and discovered electronic music for which he developed a passion. When he first heard Rolando's classic 'Knights of the Jaguar', he was so impressed that he decided to start buying vinyl.

At the beginning of 2001, he began mixing in a small bar in Amsterdam. Only a few months later he started playing in several clubs.

Carlos Valdés has already performed at well-known clubs and events in the Netherlands like Chemistry, Dimitri's HighTechSoulMovement, Joost van Bellen's 'Zin' at the Arena, Panama, Twstd, Paradiso, Melkweg Café, Simplon, The Getaway, The Rendez Vouz, Mysteryland, Noorderslag and at the VIP-area of Awakenings, the festival.

His first international appearance lead immediately to an offer to become a resident at Munich's P1.Club, Germany. Ibiza 2002 he played at The Underground and on New Year's Eve 2002 he made his first tour to Turkey together with well-known DJs like 100%ISIS and Angelo d'Onorio.

In January 2003, Carlos Valdés also made his first tour in South America where he played in various clubs, like 'Family Dance' (BA, Argentina).

Carlos Valdes runs his own company 'Soulrock', he does the publicity for Nachttheater Sugar Factory (www.sugarfactory.nl), is organizing several projects (Mad, Marry Me) and has co-hosted evenings with Electronation in Club More & Winston International (Amsterdam), is producing his own Soulrock shirt (design by Freddy, Freshcotton.com is taking care of distribution and sales) which you can find on this website. Carlos Valdes is doing bookings for the artists on www.soulrock.net and will start a label in the near future. He will start producing his own tracks.

His mixing style can be described as a refreshing, surprising and creative approach that comes from the heart. Freaky Acid House, Electro Tech, Minimal & Tech House.
