Miss Djax & Mike Drama
Bio Mike Drama
Mike Drama a.k.a. Dj Drama ('81) straight from technocity Rotterdam steadily worked his way to become one of the most popular Dutch hard techno artists. This all was the result of his infection with electronical music somewhere in the early 90's. What started with tough house music slowly emerged into an almost sick interest in techno music. Amongst some of his inspirations were Adam Beyer and DJ Rush, who made him realise that the era of house belonged to his past and that only throbbing, full-on techno could fill his needs!
Nowadays, the nature of this talented jock's game is this: hard-techno that will put holes in your speaker similar to the impact of a 500 ton meteorite! Practice turned Mike into a three deck wizard and this offspring of evil (as some have referred to him) gained popularity in countries like Poland, Germany, Austria, Malta and Spain in no time due to his impressive showcases as a DJ. During his sets you will be dazzled by his hard and very energetic style! Mike combines a number of grooves and manipulates things with the help of effects, creating very energetic atmosphere which will surely give you the ride of your life!
In 2004 he initiated the infamous "Industry of Techno" at Club Emotion which is located somewhere in the sub-urbs of Rotterdam. Here he once more stood out due to his tormenting, annihilating DJ sets and slowly his presence was noticed by more and more promoters in Holland and in Europe even! Soon Mike became resident at one of Holland's most influential hardtechno event called The Chaos Theory!
Since the man from Rotterdam breaths nothing but techno like a deadly dragon spits fire - he launched a techno platform of his own called Mental Torments Records. The label will act as a home base for his very own productions. He also teamed up with soul mate HardtraX and their work appears on labels like Cannibal Society, Domestic Violence and Plug n Play on a regular basis!
For all of those who cannot sleep at night.., who can only survive by injecting dangerous drums into their system on a weekly basis - Mental Torment will be your savior! In short: Things are on the roll for Mike - be prepared for loads more to come from the hands of the young punk, whether this will be at an event near you or pressed on plastic!
Miss Djax:
Biografie:
Miss Djax is the alias of Saskia Slegers. Not only an excellent deejay, she is also the founder of Djax records, a label every real techno, acid, or dance freak in general should have heard off. Releasing constantly new underground music, Djax has built a reputation that stands solid as a rock and has placed Eindhoven (Acidhoven) on the world's electronic music map.
Djax (and its variety of sub-labels) must undoubtedly be considered as one of the most important dance labels in the world. At the back of the book '1989 - 1999 Djax Records The Power of the Underground' James Hymann, (MTV Europe) calls it 'one of the decade's crucial labels' and further 'one of the world's most talked about labels'. People like Felix da Housecat, Justin Berkovi, Claude Young, Luke Slater, DJ Rush and off course Miss Djax herself have released tracks on Djax. No surprise then, Djax received many awards being best record label.
Beside running her very succesful label, Saskia is, as mentioned, also a very popular international deejay. For many years she somewhere appeared on a list of 'international dj of the year', allways top ten, allways accompanied by people like Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox and so on. She has played all over the world and on all major events worldwide. A few examples? She closed two times at the Victory Tower at the Love Parade, she also played four times at the Love Nation party on the Love Parade, six times at Mayday, four times at Nature One, I Love Techno, Innercity and so on, so what need we say more?
